Eszter Metzing’s art transmits the suggestions of an unknown universe. It is the call of an utterly unknown world, dark extremities insiduously slipping into ruptured and rent minds. We have no choice: it is not enough to merely „watch” – nonhuman structures invite us to symbiosis. The borderline between body and world, rationality and unfathomability, slowly fade away. A new, common form of life is being born, in the abysses of the intangible. If we surrender to this transformation, we realize that we were the alien universe all along. We were the tentacles of madness, the webworks weaved in lightless chasms, inscrutable dreams of matter. Dead but dreaming, fabulating the heterogeneity of matter, the vibrant transluscence is dreaming us.
